Your initial visit always includes a comprehensive exam. We’ll take time to review your medical history and perform orthopedic and neurological tests to help identify the root cause of your discomfort.
We want to hear your concerns and understand your goals. If anything falls outside our scope of care—or if imaging like X-rays or MRIs is needed—we’ll guide you toward the right next steps.
At Well Adjusted, we take a whole-body approach to care, because everything in your body is connected. We focus on both joint and muscle function, since they work together to support your movement and stability.
When a joint isn’t moving properly—a condition called a chiropractic subluxation—it can irritate the nervous system, cause inflammation, and over time, lead to degenerative changes like arthritis. Our goal is to restore motion, reduce inflammation, and help your body heal.
To support your recovery, we may use a combination of:
Electrical stimulation
Hot moist packs
Targeted soft tissue massage
If any of these treatments aren't appropriate for your condition (for example, if you have a pacemaker and can’t receive e-stim), we offer many safe and effective alternatives. Your comfort and safety are always our top priority.

What Happens at Your First Chiropractic Appointment: Exam, Adjustment & More
Preparing for Your First Visit: Documents & Essentials to Bring
-Photo ID
-Insurance ID (can be emailed to us)
-Any recent imaging or reports. Please feel free to email them to us before your visit. This will allow us to review them before your appointment.
-Credit Card (We require a card on file for all copays, deductible and coinsurances)
-Baby patients: We want your little one to feel safe and comfortable. Feel free to bring along a favorite toy or pacifier (if used). You’re welcome to change diapers or breastfeed in the office — anything you need to support your baby is absolutely welcome.
If you’re bringing siblings or other children, we have a small selection of games, toys, and coloring supplies available to help keep them entertained.
To help you feel your best and allow us to properly assess and treat your spine, we recommend wearing loose-fitting, comfortable clothing. Your clothes should not restrict movement and should be something you're okay getting a small amount of oil or gel on during treatment.
If you're unable to bring a change of clothes, we have gowns available for you to change into at the office — no stress!
-Babies: Please dress your baby in warm clothing that can easily be taken off and put on during the exam.
